Helpful tips:
Start with a length of your "base" cloth that is about 2 1/2 yards long, normal width of fabric 45-60" (fold in half lengthwise)
Tie hair in a bun or clip so no loose hairs are hanging down.
Use the shape of your face to determine the shape of your turban; either high on top or wider on sides (use your hair to help make the turban shape) Make your "base" turban from woven cloth that has some texture to it so it will be "sticky" for other scarves, gauze is best fabric to use, broadcloth is second best
Experiment wrapping different scarves along with the base turban (black piece)
Just play with it and practice, practice, practice…it will get easier with time
